    Celebrate Mother's Day weekend at 11th Annual Nelson Garden Festival. A showcase for regional garden vendors.

    Annuals, perennials, early vegetable & flower starts, herbs, shrubs, trees, furniture and all kinds of gardening accessories will line the 200 Block of Baker Street, as well as music and fun for the whole family.

3rd Annual Castlegar Garden & Nature Fest

Saturday May 19, 2012
10 am - 3 pm

Millennium Walkway/ Twin Rivers Park (110 5th St)
Castlegar, BC

    The focus will be on growing plants and gardens (wild and cultivated), and the natural environment and its inhabitants: insects, mammals, birds etc. Vendors selling plants and garden items will be participating, as well as local non profit/educational groups that promote gardening and wild life. We hope this mix of energies will be beneficial to all, especially our environment! Sponsored by the Castlegar Garden Club and Castlegar Communities in Bloom.

Jesse will present case studies of permaculture in action from around the globe, that are sure to inspire.
He is also teaching a 2 week permaculture design course at Clear Sky Centre in Bull River, June 2 - 15,  2012.

Come and find out how things are getting better - discover the positive changes at our fingertips.

Slocan Valley Art & Garden Tour

Fields of lavender, organic market gardens, beautiful rockwork, garlic, and flowers everywhere – eight gorgeous valley gardens to explore.

Local artists will be showing their work at several sites.

A Tour des Fleurs, a guided bicycle tour of the gardens for riders of all experience levels

Castlegar Garden Club presents:

Holly Pender-Love, ‘The Love of Clematis’

November 21, 2012   7:00 p.m. at the Community Complex

   Holly Pender-Love has been experimenting with various clematis in her garden for some years. Her presentation will show us the wide range of varieties available in Zone 4-6, and will share some successes and failures. The presentation is by power point and will be about one hour long, prior to questions.
